Max van der Stoel Human Rights Award 2010
De Universiteit van Tilburg zoekt kandidaten voor de University of Tilburg's Max van der Stoel Human Rights Award 2010: ‘’There are prizes for the best doctoral thesis and best academic text other than a doctoral thesis (such as a Bachelor's or Master's thesis or an article in a scientific journal). There is €5,000 in prize money to be shared out.

Deadline and nominations
The academic texts must be about human rights and have been defended or published between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2010. Candidates can put themselves forward through their faculty deans by submitting their entry to their faculty or institute no later than 25 September 2010.
In addition, the jury secretary should receive nominations no later than 1 October 2010 consisting of five copies of the proposed work, plus contact details of the authors. This can be sent to:

About the Max van der Stoel Human Rights Award
Since 1995, the University of Tilburg has awarded the Human Rights Award every year to draw attention to human rights in academic education and research. The award was renamed after Dr. Max van der Stoel in 2002 in honour of his achievements in the field of human rights.
